This October marks a very special milestone for me – it’s been 30 years since I first landed in New Zealand to work as a tour guide. 🌏
Thirty years ago, in November 1995, I led my very first group here. Back then, my plan was simple: stay for one season – just four months – then return to Germany and find a new job. But New Zealand had other ideas!
For 25 years, I’ve driven thousands upon thousands of kilometres by bus, introducing hundreds of German-speaking nature lovers and adventurers to the beauty of this country and its fantastic walking tracks. 🚍🥾
Then Covid came, borders closed – and everything changed. These days, I’m in my sixth season of taking Kiwi and Australian women around the stunning South Island, exploring it on foot and by bike. 🚶♀️🚴♀️
For Kiwis, it’s their own backyard paradise. For Australians, it’s that dream destination just across the Tasman. And for me, it’s pure joy to watch them fall in love with its landscapes, trails, and flavours.
And there’s no better time to experience it than spring. 🌸 After three decades here, I can say with certainty that October and November are some of the most magical months to travel – with fresh air, longer days, and wildflowers in bloom. Right now, we still have a few spaces available on our women-only tours in these months.
Whether you’re dreaming of spring wildflowers, coastal walks, or cycling through spectacular scenery, this is the perfect time to join in.
Thirty years ago, I guided my very first group in New Zealand – fully expecting to leave again after four months. This year, I’d love to guide you. Let’s celebrate together out on the trails and tracks of this beautiful country.
💚 Thirty years of guiding through Aotearoa has shown me one thing – the magic begins when you say YES and commit yourself to your next adventure.
Kind regards,
