PART OF YOUR NEW ZEALAND JOURNEY
If you're travelling all the way to New Zealand, you'll probably want to experience more than the usual highlights.
A Sidetracks Women tour gives you the chance to spend part of your holiday exploring the country actively, on foot or by e-bike, with a small group and an experienced guide.

TRAVEL WITH CONFIDENCE
Your accommodation, guiding and tour logistics are already organised, so you can settle into the country without having to work everything out yourself.
Our experienced local guides support the group and help make the journey feel easy and well looked after.

EASY TO JOIN ON YOUR OWN
Many of our guests travel on their own and simply join the group when the tour begins.
With small groups of women, shared experiences and a welcoming atmosphere, it is easy to settle in, get to know one another and feel part of the group.
Trade part of the Canadian winter for a New Zealand summer
Canada’s winter falls right in the middle of New Zealand’s main hiking and cycling season. Our main tour season runs from October through April. While the days are short at home, you could be walking through coastal landscapes, riding beside lakes or enjoying long summer evenings with your group after a day outdoors.
Start with a few days where everything is organised
A journey from Canada to New Zealand is more than a short break. You may be planning two or three weeks here and combining different parts of the country.
Joining a Sidetracks Women tour near the beginning of your holiday can be an easy way to settle in. Everything is organised, you get to know a small group of women, and along the way you’ll often pick up useful local tips for the rest of your journey.
You don’t need to book your entire New Zealand holiday with us.
Join us for a few days, then continue exploring independently in whatever way suits you.
Coming to New Zealand on your own? You'll be in good company
You don't need a travel companion to join a Sidetracks Women tour. Many women book on their own and meet the rest of the group when the tour begins.
Our groups are deliberately small, usually no more than 10 women. That makes it easier to get to know one another, share meals and experiences, and feel comfortable within the group.
There is no competitive atmosphere. You can enjoy being active at a comfortable group pace, with support from your guide along the way.
Travel independently. Be part of a group when you want to be.
More than just the trail
Whether you explore New Zealand on foot or by e-bike, the experience is about more than the kilometres you cover.
Our groups are deliberately small, and wherever possible we choose accommodation with shared lounges, kitchens or dining spaces where everyone can relax together at the end of the day. Shared meals, home-cooked food and relaxed evenings are an important part of the experience too.
That leaves you free to enjoy being active, experience New Zealand and spend time getting to know the women you are travelling with.
